July 17, Fineko/abc.az. One of the largest European low-cost carriers, Wizz Air, will launch direct flights on Bratislava-Baku-Bratislava route (Slovakia) starting from October 2026.
The Heydar Aliyev International Airport informs that the airport continues to consistently develop its international route network, providing passengers with a wider range of destinations and more affordable travel options:
"Today, about half of the airlines operating from the airport follow a low-cost or hybrid business model. Currently, around 20 low-cost and hybrid airlines operate direct flights from Baku to more than 20 international destinations. Thanks to carriers such as Wizz Air, Pegasus Airlines, Air Arabia, flydubai, flynas, and others, passengers can travel directly to Budapest, Rome, Istanbul, Tashkent, Dubai, Sharjah, Antalya, Aktau, and other cities. A variety of fares and flexible flight schedules allow passengers to choose the most suitable option based on their budget and travel goals."
