July 9, Fineko/abc.az. The UK has lifted sanctions imposed on the Zangezur vessel, which belongs to Azerbaijan.
The UK government informed on July 7 that the Zangezur oil tanker has been removed from the UK sanctions list.
The specified vessel was included in the sanctions list on charges of "contributing to the destabilization of Ukraine, including threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of this country, as well as assisting the Russian government in generating revenue."
Earlier, the Council of the European Union decided to lift the sanctions imposed on the Zagatala vessel, which belongs to the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), as well as the Shusha, Karabakh, Khankendi, and Zangezur vessels, which belong to the joint venture between ASCO and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
