June 17, Fineko/abc.az. The US administration is discussing measures to resume the movement of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, including the possibility of introducing paid passage of vessels under the protection of American ships.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to Politico, that the White House is considering options that could convince shipowners and insurance companies to re-use the route through the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing negotiations between the U.S. and Iran. One of the proposals being discussed is to provide vessels with a kind of "VIP pass" - accelerated passage through the Strait for an additional fee, possibly accompanied by US Navy ships. As Politico notes, no final decision has been made yet.
