June 5, Fineko/abc.az. Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), met with a delegation led by Michael Harms, Chairman of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy.

ABC.AZ was informed at AZPROMO that data about Azerbaijan's investment climate, regional ties, and transport and logistics potential was presented at the meeting.

The sides highly appreciated the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijani and German companies in the fields of green energy, industry and technology transfer. In this context, the possibility of establishing an Azerbaijani-German Business Council was discussed. It was noted that such a platform could be useful in terms of organizing a regular dialogue between entrepreneurs of the two countries, mutual exchange of information and the implementation of joint initiatives.

At the same time, in order to present investment opportunities and strengthen the Azerbaijani-German business partnership, the German side was invited to the Private Sector Forum to be held in Baku on June 16-19 as part of the 51st Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group, and to the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, scheduled for September 25-26.
