June 4, Fineko/abc.az. The demand for Azerbaijani-made jewelry in the countries of the region is growing.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijan Jewelers Association’s chairman of board Togrul Abbasguliyev made the relevant statement at the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan Jewelry Show in Baku.

He points out that along with Azerbaijani companies, entrepreneurs and companies from Turkey are taking part in the exhibition.

"In addition, buyers and visitors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Israel are expected to participate. The demand for Azerbaijani jewelry in the countries of the region has grown. There is a professional jewelry school behind this," Abbasguliyev said.

He stressed that the Azerbaijani jewelry school preserves national ornaments, patterns and long-standing traditions of the industry.

"In this regard, we attach special importance to the wide representation of Azerbaijani brands and products under the Made in Azerbaijan brand at the exhibition," he emphasized.

Abbasguliyev also noted that the tax and customs privileges imposed in recent years have had positive impact on the domestic jewelry industry.
