June 2, Fineko/abc.az. Measures will be taken in Azerbaijan to prevent the activities of illegal foreign online lotteries and bookmaking games.

ABC.AZ informs that this is provided for in the Regulation on the National Cybersecurity Agency, established by presidential decree of Ilham Aliyev.

According to the document, the agency, based on information from the lottery organizer and/or the operator of betting games in Azerbaijan, must ensure that measures provided for by law are taken to prevent the organization and conduct of gambling through telecommunications services, ticket sales, and participation in such games.

In addition, measures are envisaged to restrict access from Azerbaijan to the virtual resources of foreign lottery organizers and bookmaker game operators, as well as their distributors.
