April 21, Fineko/abc.az. This March, the largest price growth was recorded in Azerbaijan for fruits and vegetables, while eggs fell in price.
ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with the previous month, in March the prices for fruits grew by 3.6% and for vegetables by 3.2%.
Fish and fish products also rose in price (by 1.5%), milk and dairy products (by 0.6%), as well as bread, bakery products and cereals (by 0.7%).
Among other categories of goods, prices for meat and meat products increased by 0.2%, for butter and vegetable oil, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets, tea, coffee and cocoa, as well as mineral water and juices by 0.3%. Alcoholic beverages grew in price by 0.5%.
The largest decrease in prices was recorded for eggs: in March they fell by 2.9% compared to February. The prices of tobacco products remained unchanged in March.
