April 13, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly nominal salary of employees in Azerbaijan for Jan-Feb 2026 grew by 5.3% versus Jan-Feb 2025 up to 1,099 manats.

In the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communications, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in the field of transport and warehousing, the average monthly nominal salary was higher, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

As of March 1, 2026, the number of employees in the country was 1.784 million people, including 870,600 people worked in the public sector and 913,400 people worked in the non-governmental sector.

18.5% of employees are involved in trade and vehicle repair, 18.3% in education, 13.8% in industry, 8.6% in healthcare and social services, 6.5% in construction, 6.1% in public administration and defense, social security, 4.4% in transport 4% in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4% in finance and insurance, 2.3% in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and 15.1% in other sectors of the economy.
