Tesla once again surpasses BYD and becomes market leader on electric vehicles

April 3, Fineko/abc.az. Following the last quarter, Tesla regained leadership in the global electric vehicle market, surpassing BYD.

ABC.AZ informs that Tesla's deliveries increased up to 358,000 vehicles (+6% year-on-year), despite quarterly decline. BYD's performance turned out to be weaker: deliveries of electric vehicles and hybrids decreased by 25.5% to 310,000 vehicles.

Experts attribute this to BYD's high dependence on the Chinese market, where competition has increased, while Tesla is showing more stable results due to its global presence.
