April 2, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are establishing a joint venture to purchase a dredging vessel.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development & Transport Rashad Nabiyev, that the Azerbaijan Transport & Communications Holding (AZCON) and Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLC, a subsidiary of Samruk-Kazyna JSC (Kazakhstan), have signed a joint venture agreement to acquire a dredging vessel and carry out related work.

The signing took place during a meeting between Nabiyev and Nurlan Zhakupov, the chairman of board of Samruk-Kazyna, who is on a business visit to Azerbaijan.

"During the meeting, the current state and prospects for development of bilateral cooperation in the field of transport and logistics were also discussed. We also exchanged views on the results achieved and the main goals of the joint dredging project in the ports of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan," the minister emphasized.
