March 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani government has decided to suspend the movement of trucks across the Azerbaijani-Iranian state border after the drone attack on March 5.
ABC.AZ informs that the Cabinet Ministers has informed about this.
On March 5, unmanned aerial vehicles were launched from the Iranian territory on the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan, targeting civilian infrastructure.
"The international airport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a school and other facilities were shelled by Iran. As a result of the attacks, several civilians were injured, and the airport terminal building was damaged.
Taking into account the current situation that has arisen as a result of these attacks, which contradict the norms and principles of international law, the Cabinet has made a relevant decision to temporarily completely suspend the movement of trucks (including transit traffic) through all checkpoints on the Azerbaijani-Iranian state border," the statement says.
