15:24 - 3.03.2026

March 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is imposing fines for the use, import, export, production, wholesale and retail sale of electronic cigarettes, as well as for their storage for the purpose of sale.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences, which were put up for discussion at today's plenary session of the Parliament.

According to the draft law, goods that have become the object of an administrative offense (electronic cigarettes and their components) are subject to confiscation, and violators will be fined:

— Individuals – from 350 to 500 manats;

— Officials – from 1,650 to 2,200 manats;

— Legal entities – from 4,000 to 5,000 manats.

In addition, a fine of 30 manats will be applied for the use of electronic cigarettes in prohibited places, on the streets and other public places.

The ban on the import, export, production, storage, sale and use of electronic cigarettes in Azerbaijan will come into force on April 1, 2026.
