February 26, Fineko/abc.az. Toyota Motor Corporation's sales increased in January 2026, despite U.S. duties and fierce competition from China.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to Bloomberg, that company's global production dropped by 4.2% to 848,020 vehicles, partly due to the transition to new model Toyota RAV4, the best-selling in the U.S.

At the same time, global sales, including subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co. and Hino Motors Ltd., grew by 4.8% and reached a record of 887,266 vehicles in January.

In the U.S., sales of Toyota and Lexus brands increased by 8.1% and in China by 6.6%, while in the domestic market of Japan declined by 2.7%.
