February 24, Fineko/abc.az. This January, the volume of trade transactions between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran reached $57.132 million ($1.2 million, or 2.1% more versus January 2025), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee.
Trade turnover with Iran made up 1.61% of Azerbaijan's overall total foreign trade turnover.
In January 2026, output for $960,000 was exported from Azerbaijan to Iran ($349,000, or 57.1% more than in January 2025).
Export operations for $56.2 million were carried out from Iran to Azerbaijan ($830,000, or 1.5% more against January 2025).
This January, Azerbaijan carried out foreign trade operations with foreign countries for $3.538 billion ($1.5 billion, or 30.5% less versus January 2025).
$2.236 billion accounted for exports and $1.302 billion for imports (a drop of $802 million, or 26.4% on exports and $750 million, or 36.5% on imports). As a result, positive balance of $933.6 million was formed in foreign trade ($52.4 million, or 5.3% less year-on-year).
