February 24, Fineko/abc.az. In 2015-2025, products for totally more than 19 bn manats were sold in industrial zones, including output of over 6 bn manats directed for exports.
ABC.AZ informs, quoting Economic Zones Development Agency’s chairman Seymur Adygozalov, that these indicators show that industrial zones have already formed and turned into stable industrial environment.
The chair pointed out that the share of foreign investments in economic zones has also increased significantly over the years.
"So, if in 2016 only 10.4 million manats of foreign investments were attracted, then only in 2025 this figure reached 87.9 million manats. These figures clearly demonstrate that the attractiveness of our economic zones for international investors continues to grow steadily. I’d like to note that 40 residents are currently registered in the largest industrial park in the South Caucasus, the Sumgayit Industrial Park. In 2025, the Sumgayit Industrial Park sold products for 2.2 bn manats, and products for 1.1 bn manats of them were exported. These indicators clearly demonstrate the park's leading role in overall industrial results and non-oil exports," he said.
