February 23, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, companies and organizations in Azerbaijan paid 6.694 bn manats to the State out of their profits.
ABC.AZ reports that the figure is 92.3 million manats or 1.4% less than in the previous year. In 2024, legal entities paid 6.786 bn manats of income tax to the State from their income.
At the same time, the share of companies in total budget revenues fell from 18.3% to 17.1%.
In 2024, 902 million manats of income tax accounted for SOCAR and 294.3 million manats for Azerbaijan's banking sector. According to Article 105 of the Tax Code, corporate profits are taxed at a rate of 20%.
For example, company's accounting profit for the reporting year amounted to 200,000 manats.
The company calculates depreciation costs for equipment using the straight-line method in accounting, and in tax accounting using the reduced balance method. In 2025, depreciation expenses totaled 87,500 manats in accounting and 70,000 manats in tax accounting. The difference is 17,500 manats.
Thus, the difference between accounting profit and tax profit will reach 17,500 manats. The tax profit will amount to 217,500 manats and the income tax - 43,500 manats.
