Since the beginning of the marketing year 2025/26 (September–December), Kazakhstan has exported more than 4.1 million tons of wheat (almost 1.5-fold higher against Sept-Dec of the previous season), ABC.AZ reports, quoting Evgeny Karabanov, the Head of the Analytics Committee of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan.
According to Karabanov, December was a record month in the history of country's grain exports: 1.778 million tons of wheat were shipped abroad (2.1-fold more than in November).
At the same time, amid a general increase in exports, Kazakh wheat supplies to Azerbaijan declined by 34%, to 126,900 tons.
A drop was also recorded in the areas of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, the Baltic States and Europe.
At the same time, exports have grown significantly to the Central Asian states. In particular, shipments to Uzbekistan grew by 76%, and in December reached an absolute record of 1.37 million tons. Growth was also recorded in Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
