India's share in import of buffalo and cow meat in Azerbaijan observed growth much

January 29, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, the import of cattle meat from India in Azerbaijan increased significantly.

ABC.AZ informs that our country imported 1,129 tons of beef and buffalo meat for approx. $3.78 million for the first 11 months of 2025 (63% more in volume and 78% more in value than a year earlier). The average price grew from $3,060 up to $3,350 per ton.

As a whole, Azerbaijan imported 8,167 tons of cattle meat for $33.83 million during this period (8% more in volume and 6.8% more in value in annual terms). Ukraine remains the largest supplier (3,899 tons for $19.41 million), followed by Brazil (2,959 tons for $9.54 million) and India. The average price of imported meat was around $4,140 per ton.
