December 29, Fineko/abc.az. Excise taxes on tobacco products will be increased from 2026.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the amendment to the Tax Code approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

The excise tax rate on products intended for inhalation without smoking, containing tobacco or reconstituted tobacco, is increased from 16 to 25.5 manats for the minimum amount for both local production and import.

With the exception of tobacco for production, the excise tax on other smoking tobaccos - homogenized or reconstituted, chewing or snuff - is increased for local production from 22 to 162 manats per kg, for imports - from 30 to 170 manats per kg.
