Azerbaijan's non-oil exports doubled in 6 years

December 23, Fineko/abc.az. Consistent socio-economic reforms and active integration into the global economy carried out in Azerbaijan have created wide and favorable business opportunities in the country.

ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Economy Minister Samad Bashirli made this statement today at the II Azerbaijan–Turkey Investment Forum in Baku.

He noted that as a result of economic diversification and the development of the non-oil and gas sector as a priority area, the export potential has significantly expanded.:

"Over the past 6 years, non-oil exports have doubled, and this means an increase in our country's competitiveness. With active participation of foreign investors, joint projects are being implemented in the field of “green energy", agriculture, industry, transport and logistics, digitalization, tourism and other sectors. The results achieved indicate that there is wide potential for further deepening trade and investment cooperation with international partners, implementing new joint projects and developing long-term economic partnership."

The deputy minister stressed that amid steady positive trends observed in the country's economy, our country's credit rating has increased, and the sovereign credit rating has been upgraded by two leading international rating agencies (Fitch Ratings in 2024 and Moody's Ratings in 2025) to investment grade: “These important results are a clear indicator of growing confidence. international financial markets towards macroeconomic stability, fiscal stability and the sustainability of Azerbaijan's institutional reforms make our country more attractive for long-term investments.”
