Pfizer lowers income forecast for 2026 because of falling sales of COVID-drugs

December 17, Fineko/abc.az. Pfizer expects earnings in 2026 at the level of $59.5–62.5 billion, which is lower than in previous years, because of lower demand for vaccines and medicines against COVID-19.

ABC.AZ informs that sales of these drugs will reach approx. $5 billion ($1.5 billion less than in 2025), and will no longer be a key source of earnings.

Adjusted earnings per share are projected in the range of $2.80–3.00. The company is preparing for the expiration of patents on key drugs, strengthening financial stability and investing in new developments for long-term growth. Pfizer shares rose 2.24% to $26.4.
