December 3, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2025, the value of trade turnover between the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Turkey increased by 9.5% compared with the 2024 same term up to $47.8 million.
ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani Economy Minister Kazim Huseynaliyev said this at the 2nd Azerbaijan-Turkey Regional Economic Forum in Nakhchivan.
According to Huseynaliyev, the value of exports from the Autonomous Republic to Turkey has increased by 24.8% over the past year. Turkey took the 1st place in Nakhchivan's foreign trade turnover with a share of 46.5%: "Mineral waters, tobacco products, sunflower seeds, dried fruits, plastic and travertine products were exported from Nakhchivan to Turkey; food and agricultural products, consumer electronics, furniture, textiles and various appliances dominated Turkey's exports to Nakhchivan."
Most of the companies with foreign capital operating in Nakhchivan are Turkish companies. Currently, there are active business entities in the NAR, created jointly with Turkish businessmen in various fields of the economy.
Huseynaliyev added that starting in 2026, new tax, customs and social benefits will be introduced for Nakhchivan entrepreneurs: "In this regard, a package of benefits has been developed that will create additional advantages for entrepreneurs working in the region, create a more competitive business environment by expanding production and export opportunities."
