December 3, Fineko/abc.az. Prada officially acquired Italian luxury brand Versace from Capri Holdings (U.S.) for €1.3 bn ($1.51 bn), after signing a final agreement in April.

ABC.AZ informs that the deal became possible after cancellation of the previous sale of Versace to Tapestry because of antitrust concerns.

After the integration, Lorenzo Bertelli, the son of the owners of Prada, will take over as executive chairman of Versace. Prada has been interested in acquiring the brand for several years, negotiations were conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
