November 27, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan discussed 33 draft state standards in the field of table olives, olive oil for food purposes, wheat flour for the bakery industry, canned fruits and vegetables, chocolate and chocolate products, butter, etc., developed on the basis of European and interstate standards.
ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), subordinate to the State Agency for Antimonopoly Supervision and Consumer Market Control under the Presidential Administration, that a regular meeting of the Technical Committee for Standardization "Quality and Technology of Food Products" (AZSTAND/TK 33), established by the Institute, was held. Along with representatives of AZSTAND, representatives of the Food Safety Agency, the Scientific Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health, the Scientific Research Institute of Vegetable Growing of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Union of Free Consumers and public association "Promotion of the International System of Global Standard 1" took part in the meeting.
The meeting participants also reviewed the standards that will be subject to periodic review. At the same time, discussions were held on the adoption of 4 new draft state standards, and the opinions and suggestions of the members were heard.
