November 25, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2025, Azerbaijan exported 8,023 tons of pomegranates for $7.2 million (29% more versus the 2024 same term in value terms and 28% more in quantity), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.
Azerbaijan supplies 7,096 tons (+27%) for $6.5 million to Russia (29% more than a year earlier), 441 tons (+63%) for $360,000 (+38%) to Ukraine, 378 tons (+45%) to Georgia for $273,000 (+58%), to Kazakhstan - 60 tons (-15%) for $36,000 (-28%), 18.3 tons of products to the UAE (no supplies a year ago) for $27,500.
Azerbaijan imported 71.23 tons (+3-fold) of pomegranates for $146,200 (+3-fold).
Our country imported 28 tons of products from Russia for $78,400 (no supplies a year earlier); from Peru - 10.7 tons (-27%) for $26,800 (-27%); from Turkey - 20.7 tons (+4.2-fold) for $24,800 (+4.3-fold); from Iran - 10.7 tons (+20-fold) for $12,900 (+22-fold); from South Africa - 0.9 tons (-47%) for $2,200 (-49%).
This year, for the first time in the last 14 years (official statistics on foreign trade are publicly available for the period up to 2011), deliveries from Vietnam (0.05 tons for $200) were carried out.
