Amazon surpasses market expectations: profits and revenue grew amid rapid growth of AWS and advertising

October 31, Fineko/abc.az. Amazon reported earnings of $1.95 per share for the 3rd quarter of 2025, up from $1.43 a year earlier and a consensus forecast of $1.57. Revenue increased by 13.4% year-on-year up to $180.17 billion, exceeding analysts' expectations of $177.91 billion.

ABC.AZ informs that sales in North America grew by 11.2% up to $106.27 billion, and international sales increased by 14% up to $40.90 billion. The cloud division of Amazon Web Services (AWS) brought in $33.01 billion (+20%), advertising - $17.70 billion (+24%).

Amazon CEO Andy Jesse noted that AI is bringing tangible improvements in all business areas, and AWS is showing growth rates that have not been seen since 2022.

The company continues to expand its capacity and accelerate delivery, planning to cover more than 2,300 localities by the end of the year with express delivery of products. Amazon forecasts 4th-quarter revenue of $206-213 billion, while the market expected $208.41 billion.

After the end of the main trading session, Amazon shares rise by 9.9%.
