October 23, Fineko/abc.az. The State Budget of Azerbaijan for 2026 envisages a subsidy for the Baku Metro in the amount of 40 million manats (12.3 million manats, or 44.6% more than in 2025).

ABC.AZ informs that this amount is indicated in the materials included in the budget package for 2026, presented to the Milli Majlis.

The purpose of the grant is to cover the losses of the metro due to the fact that current passenger transportation tariffs are lower than their cost.
