October 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2025, Azerbaijan imported 85,257 vehicles for $1.605 bn.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with Jan-Sept 2024, the figure is 26.5% more in value and 28.6% more in quantity.

During the year, imports of vehicles designed to transport 10 or more people, including a driver, increased 3.1-fold and reached 652 vehicles (for $68.977 million), while imports of automobiles and other vehicles intended mainly for transporting people grew by 31.5% up to 78,205 vehiles (for $1.431 bn).

Hybrid cars were valued at $263.999 million last year. 12,555 cars were sold (17.2% more than in the previous year), while the cost decreased by 2.8%.

Plug-in hybrid cars reached value of $604.619 million, a rise of 3.5-fold versus the 2024 same term. The total number was 31,873 cars (6.4-fold more than in the previous year).

Fully electric cars were valued at $48.210 million. 1,559 vehicles were sold (30.6% less than a year ago), and their cost decreased by 45.6%.
