September 16, Fineko/abc.az. In just 8 months, 13,158 apartments were sold to foreign citizens in Turkey, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Statistical Office of Turkey.

It was noted that this is 2,042 apartments or 13.4% less than a year ago.

Last month alone, foreigners bought 1,816 apartments in Turkey (455 apartments or 20% less than in August 2024).

The largest number of home buyers in Turkey were still Russian citizens. In 8 months, 2,253 apartments were sold to them (1,036 aparts or 31.5% less than in the first 8 months of last year).

In August alone, Russians bought 283 apartments in Turkey, which is 98 aparts, or 25.7% less against August 2024).

The next place was taken by Iranian citizens. In the first 8 months of this year, 1,125 apartments were sold in this country (267 aparts or 19.2% less than a year earlier). And in August, 155 apartments were sold to Iranians (16 aparts or 9.3% less versus the same month of 2024).

German citizens came in 3rd place last month. So, for Jan-Aug, German citizens became owners of 808 apartments in Turkey (6 aparts, or 0.7% more against Jan-Aug 2024). And in August, Germans bought 118 apartments in Turkey (21 aparts, or 15.1% less versus August 2024).

In 2024, Azerbaijani citizens purchased 866 apartments in Turkey.
