September 15, Fineko/abc.az. The accounting documents of the Iranian Customs Administration report an increase in imports of products from Russia. The Ministry of the Islamic Republic estimated that for the period from March 20 to August 21 (in Iran, the new year begins in March) The trade turnover with the Russian Federation increased by 2%.

ABC.AZ informs that compared with the same period of 2024, Iran has bought 6.4% more products from Russia in weight terms this year.

Glass, oil, industrial goods and agricultural products are in the greatest demand.

During the reported term of 2025, Iran imported products from Russia by 8.06 million tons more than in 2024. In monetary terms, it is more by $11 million.

Oil imports to Iran from Russia in 2025 totaled 2.43 million tons, which, translated into US currency, amounted to $1.07 billion.
