September 5, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. President Donald Trump has signed an order lowering tariffs on imports of Japanese cars and other goods.

According to ABC.AZ, the document published on the White House website sets a base tariff of 15% on almost all imports from Japan.

Separate rules have been introduced for certain sectors. These include automobiles, auto parts, aerospace products, pharmaceuticals, as well as natural resources that are not extracted or produced in the United States.

The White House states that the new tariff system, along with growing exports and investments, will help reduce the trade deficit with Japan and improve the overall U.S. trade balance.
