September 2, Fineko/abc.az. In the first half of 2025, Baku ranked 340th in the global city cost of living index.

ABC.AZ reports via Numbeo, one of the world’s largest databases, that a lower ranking indicates that the cost of living in the city is relatively affordable.

For comparison, Yerevan ranked 257th, Istanbul 258th, Moscow 230th, and Tbilisi 316th.

The report notes that the “cost of living index” is based on prices for food, restaurant services, transportation, and utilities, but does not include housing expenses such as rent or mortgage payments.
