August 27, Fineko/abc.az. Google Cloud has introduced Universal Ledger (GCUL) — a Layer 1 platform for financial institutions with support for tokenization, settlements, and Python smart contracts. According to ABC.AZ, the new Google platform is designed for instant global payments. Pilot testing is being carried out jointly with CME Group, with full-scale testing planned for the end of 2025 and commercial launch scheduled for 2026.
