Trade operations between Azerbaijan and Germany increased by more than 4.8%

August 25, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of trade operations between Azerbaijan and Germany in January–July of this year amounted to $888.6 million. According to ABC.AZ, this was reported by the State Customs Committee. The report notes that this is $40.4 million, or 4.8%, more than in the corresponding months of 2024. During the reporting period, trade operations with Germany accounted for 3.8% of Azerbaijan’s total trade turnover. Thus, Germany ranked 5th among the countries with which Azerbaijan carries out the largest volume of trade operations.

From January to July of this year, Azerbaijan exported products worth $376.3 million to Germany. This is $5.1 million, or 1.3%, less than in the same period of 2024. At the same time, in January–July 2025, imports from Germany to Azerbaijan amounted to $512.3 million, which is $45.5 million, or 9.7%, more than a year earlier.

It should be noted that in January–July 2025 Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with foreign countries worth $28.8 billion. This is 7.25% more than in the same period of last year. Exports accounted for $15.2 billion of foreign trade turnover, while imports totaled $13.6 billion. In annual terms, exports decreased by 5.4%, while imports increased by 26.1%. As a result, foreign trade produced a positive balance of $1.6 billion, which is 3.3 times less compared to the same period last year.
