July 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park has awarded resident status to 39 business entities with investment portfolio of more than 6 billion manats, of which 28 are already operating.

ABC.AZ informs that to date, entrepreneurs have invested 5.6 billion manats in the park, created more than 6,300 permanent jobs, and sold products for 14.4 billion manats, of which 5.2 billion manats were exported.

In the 1st half of this year alone, products worth 1.1 billion manats were sold, of which 545 million manats were exported. Compared with Jan-Jun 2024, exports increased almost by 20%.

Progress has been made in exporting construction chemicals, steel and polymer pipes, lubricating oils, polymers, carbamide, various types of cables, glass plates, ceramic tiles and other products produced in the park. Basically, products of this type were exported to more than 70 countries around the world under brand Made in Azerbaijan.

The Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park has created favorable investment climate for development of entrepreneurial activity. Thus, entrepreneurs here are provided with ready-made infrastructure at the expense of public funds. Residents of the Park are also fully exempt from property, land, income taxes, as well as VAT and customs duties on the import of machinery, technological equipment and installations for production purposes for a period of 10 years from the date of their registration. At the moment, 912 supporting documents have been issued to the residents of the park. As a result, residents saved more than 400 million manats when importing machinery and technological equipment.
