July 22, Fineko/abc.az. Recently, as a result of an increase in the volume of goods transported from China, the number of carriers using international road transport booklets TIR-Carnet has increased by 30%.

ABC.AZ reports that ABADA Secretary General Kenan Gurbanov made the above-said statement at a meeting with journalists.

He noted that in July alone, the number of carriers using TIR-Carnet booklets increased twofold. According to Gurbanov, this brochure is an international customs document used in international cargo transportation.

Gurbanov noted that the booklet allows the truck to cross the customs borders of several countries.

Referring to the activities of ABADA, the secretary general said that the association has existed for more than 30 years:

"One of the priorities of the association is to support development of international road transport, ensure compliance with the terms of the Carnet-TIR Customs Convention in Azerbaijan, and provide appropriate assistance in ensuring the unhindered movement of goods by international road transport. Over the past 6 months of this year, the Association provided its members with all possible support in connection with events taking place in foreign countries, as well as assistance to individuals in foreign countries. During this period, assistance to member carriers in connection with events abroad has increased by up to 10%. Currently, 174 legal entities and individuals are active as members."
