July 21, Fineko/abc.az. The carbamide plant of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) currently exports its products to more than 15 countries.

ABC.AZ informs that the head of the production department of the plant Shokhrat Mirzayev told journalists that carbamide fertilizers are mainly exported to Turkey, Georgia, the USA, Argentina and Brazil.

"India is one of the largest fertilizer producers in the world, but we also sell carbamide fertilizers to them," he said.

He noted that the annual production capacity of SOCAR's carbamide plant is 650,000-660,000 tons.

"In 2024, this figure exceeded 652,000 tons. Our goal is to achieve even higher volumes. The plant fully covers the needs of the domestic market. Initially, the project envisaged that 30% of the output would be directed to domestic consumption, and 70% for export. However, at present, 20% is enough to meet domestic needs," Mirzayev added.
