Russian wheat exports to China have fallen 19-fold - corn exports increase instead of grain supplies to China

July 21, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2025, Russian wheat exports to China decreased 19-fold to $2.5 million from $38.9 million a year earlier. In June, there were no deliveries at all.

ABC.AZ reports that barley exports also fell, from $100.1 million to $42.2 million.

Against this background, corn exports grew 2.5-fold up to $49.4 million, putting Russia in 3rd place among suppliers of this crop to China.

While China only allows the supply of spring wheat and barley, Russia is seeking to allow winter grain, which is more profitable for export.
