July 14, Fineko/abc.az. The unemployment rate in Azerbaijan has fallen to a multi-year low. As of June 1, the number of the unemployed in the country has decreased by 1,100 people over the past month to 281,800 people.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this means that the unemployment rate has declined from 5.31% to 5.27%. The unemployment rate has fallen to 5.3% since August 2024. However, this also affects statistics, as there are more jobs in the country in June. For example, in June 2022, 2023 and 2024, the number of the unemployed dropped by about 1,700, 2,700 and 2,500 people, respectively. At the same time, decrease in unemployment this year was weaker than in the previous one.

According to preliminary data, as of July 1, 2025, the economically active population amounted to 5,344,100 people, including 5,062,300 people are employed.
