July 11, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2025, average monthly nominal salary of employees in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to 1,095 manats.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with Jan-May 2024, average monthly nominal salary of employees grew by 9.1%.

Average monthly nominal salary was higher in such sectors of the economy as extractive industries, financial and insurance activities, information and communications, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as transport and warehousing.

As of June 1, 2025, the number of employees in the country's economy reached 1,769,200 people, including 873,000 people worked in the public sector of the economy, and 896,200 people in the non-governmental sector.

18.7% of employees were employed in trade and vehicle repair, 18.6% in education, 13.6% in industry, 8.6% in healthcare and social services, 6.6% in construction, 6.3% in public administration and defense, social security, 4.2% in transport and warehousing, 3.9% in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4% - agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 2.3% - in financial and insurance activities, and 14.8% - in other sectors of the economy.
