June 4, Fineko/abc.az. The European Commission is preparing for the fact that the conflict in Ukraine will continue at least until 2027, and proposes to extend temporary protection measures for Ukrainian refugees in the European Union until March 2027, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the EC.

Temporary measures to protect Ukrainian refugees were adopted by the European Commission in March 2022. Thanks to them, Ukrainian refugees can stay in EU countries on the basis of a passport without any additional documents, as well as get housing and access to education, healthcare and the labor market.

In previous years, the European Commission extended the validity of these rules on an annual basis. They should be lifted immediately after the end of the conflict in Ukraine.
