May 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Civil Code of Azerbaijan has been amended to regulate the rights of joint heirs.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the draft law, when issuing a certificate of inheritance to an heir who has submitted an application, a notary will also determine the shares of inheritance owed to other heirs (co-heirs) who have not submitted an application, and indicate this information in the certificate.

This information will be entered in the state register.

Before receiving the certificate, the co-heirs will be able to dispose of their shares under a notary agreement. The bill was adopted in the first reading.
