April 7, Fineko/abc.az. U.S.’ sanctions against China in one form or another have already forced local companies to focus on local development software, but formally Microsoft retained the ability to provide technical support for its solutions in China through the Wicresoft joint venture.

This became known from the filing of Chinese publication Caijing, which is referenced by Reuters. The source turned out to have an email from Microsoft, which indicated the termination of Wicresoft's activities in China as a company authorized to support Windows, Office and other Microsoft software solutions. Representatives of the latter noted in an interview with Reuters that this information is not entirely true.
