ABC.AZ informs that thus, Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth commented on the statements of the Chinese Foreign Ministry about readiness for any type of war with the U.S.

"We are ready. Those who want peace should prepare for war, and it is important for the U.S. to be strong. That's why we're rebuilding our army. We live in a dangerous world with powerful, rising states with a completely different ideology," he said.

According to Hegseth, China "seeks to displace the U.S. from the world stage" by increasing defense spending and introducing modern technologies into the military industry.
