For example, navigation satellites help track and plan agricultural machinery, which saves financial resources. On the other hand, telecommunication satellites provide Internet connectivity in remote areas where there is no communication infrastructure, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Ismet Bakhishov, the director of the Center for Geographic Information Systems of Azercosmos Space Agency.
"In addition, reference maps based on data from remote Earth observation satellites help determine important indicators such as soil types, acreage, soil fertility, salinity and groundwater depth," he added.
