February 25, Fineko/abc.az. The restoration of Ukraine will cost about 500 billion euros.

ABC.AZ reports that PM Denys Shmyhal made this statement during a joint meeting of the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission.

He said that this could become a key task for Europe in the coming years.

According to the Ukrainian PM, frozen Russian assets should become the main resource for the country's recovery: “We are confident that these funds will become the main source. It's time to confiscate them.”

Shmyhal added that European companies can play a crucial role in the implementation of large-scale projects in Ukraine.

"Ukraine can serve as a competitive hub because we have strategic logistics, human capital and experience. When we talk about rebuilding the country, it means that European companies can invest in such efforts. And this means, according to rough estimates, that the restoration will cost 500 billion euros," he said.
