February 3, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, our country’s imports of fuel-powered cars declined by 25% compared with the previous year to 53,210 vehicles, while imports of electric vehicles reduced by 2.4% to 3,027 cars, ABC.AZ was informed at the Media Analysis Center.

The number of hybrid cars grew by 29.6% against the figures of 2023 and reached 15,815 vehicles.

The highest growth was recorded on the import of plug-in hybrid passenger cars. Compared to 2023, 5.5-fold more plug-in hybrid passenger cars were delivered to Azerbaijan in 2024.

According to official data, 15,815 hybrid vehicles, 10,382 plug-in hybrid vehicles and 29,224 eco-friendly cars, including 3,027 electric vehicles, were imported into the country in 2024.
