December 27, Fineko/abc.az. As well as every year, the annual report of the Azerbaijan International Association of Automobile Carriers (ABADA) has been presented this year.

ABC.AZ informs that at the year-end event, ABADA Secretary General Kenan Gurbanov informed journalists about a range of important innovations.

He noted that the structure he represented had participated in events relating to the introduction of e-consignment note (E-SMR) of the United Nations Economic Council.

Gurbanov said that this year a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Russian Federation and the International Association of Road Carriers.

"133 international transportation certificates were issued to 1,305 carriers and 178 responsible persons of the operator.

330 carriers received training sessions on the transportation of dangerous goods, and certificates were issued. In connection with development of international transportation, proposals have been submitted to the Ministry. In accordance with the Convention on the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods, the Ministry has made proposals for the development of regulatory documents. In 2024, 1,624 Carnet TIR books were issued to carriers. Proposals have been sent to the Ministry on the problems faced by our road carriers in foreign countries," Gurbanov noted.
