December 26, Fineko/abc.az. Lawyers and IT experts admit the imposition of fines for using VPNs and other blocking circumvention services.

ABC.AZ reports that the founder of IT company TIQUM, Yuri Gizatulin, said that Roskomnadzor has the means to track VPN usage. However, this will require a lot of resources and may raise questions about the confidentiality of user data.

Kristina Mkrtchyan, an advisor to the intellectual property practice of EBR law firm, considers the introduction of mass fines unlikely. But she is sure that the blocking of such services will increase.
