November 19, Fineko/abc.az. After more than a decade of hiatus, Apple has once again started developing its own TV-set.

This is the second time the company has tried to enter this market after an unsuccessful attempt in 2009-2011, ABC.AZ informs, referring to MacRumors.

Apple is "evaluating" the idea of creating a TV-set under its own brand, which can become part of a line of new smart home devices. However, as noted, the project is at a very early stage of development, and it may take years before it goes into production.

If the Apple TV-set is successfully launched, it will open up new opportunities for the company to compete in this market. Currently, Apple only offers an Apple TV set-top box for streaming connected to a TV-set.

Company's TV-set is expected to have deeper integration with the Apple device ecosystem, as well as a premium design. However, it is unknown how the company will compete with other TV brands in terms of display characteristics, features and pricing.
